Padel is played on an enclosed court with walls, similar to squash. The court is about one-third the size of a tennis court (20m x 10m). Players use solid paddles (no strings) and a ball similar to a tennis ball. The serve must be underhand and bounce in the opposite service box. After the serve, the ball can bounce once on the ground or hit the walls before being returned. The ball must clear the net and land in the opponent's court. Points are scored like tennis (15, 30, 40, game), and matches are typically best of 3 sets. The key difference from tennis is that walls are in play, making strategy and positioning crucial. Courtiplay helps you find padel courts and practice these rules with other players.
